Particle System to Keyframe

Firstly, I would like to apologize if this question has already been asked in the past. I did have a quick sift through to see if I could find the answer I am looking for.

I am doing a little bit of animation work for a really cool game engine by They have a built in fbx support that allows you to drag and drop your animated models in fbx format directly into the game engine. This FBX support uses keyframes.

Now of course as anyone would, I wanted to animated an explosion of a part and drag it into the game engine. But because blender uses particle systems for this, the explosion is not done with keyframes (which is what I need)

Is there any method of converting the explosion (using particle system) to keyframes?
