I have a couple of questions about the 3D Print Toolbox and Mesh Analysis panels. I've looked at the documentation, asked on BlenderArtists and watched Dolf's Blender for 3D Printing videos without finding answers.
What do the samples represent when I'm using the Mesh Analysis panel to measure Thickness.
What are bad contiguous edges, and what is done to fix them?
Thanks.

In Edit mode, if you look at the Mesh Analysis panel in the 3D View Properties Panel and choose the Type: Thickness, you can choose the range of thicknesses that you want to trace with the mesh analysis. That I understand.
There is also a control that allows you to set a value for Samples from 1 to 32. I wanted to find out more about what this control does and what the samples are samples of.
