localized versions of blender

Post by lgs » Tue Nov 19, 2002 12:12 am

I don't know if the NAN people ever thought of translating Blender UI to other languages other than English and if they have support for that in Blender.

I think we could use gettext for localization issues on Blender because that would not be very dificult.

What do you think?

i speek english so its not a problem for me but i htink it is a great idea as i always like the idea of people being able to do things in their native tounge.

however it would be up to the first few people of any language to traslate it.

:!: :!: :!:

Does Blender support multi-byte font/unicode internally? This would be necessary for asian language translations. Not to mention, it'd be very useful to be able to use languages other than English in Blender's text objects as well.
