Hello,
I am trying to build a primitive particles system.
I used therefore the following tutorial :
http://download.blender.org/documentati ... icles.html
the interface is a little bit (I am using 2.41 version).
I cannot make the particle move when doing ALT-A.
The primitive plane does not emit any paticle.
Strange
I checked and I used exactly the same settings as the ones detailed in the tutorial : Normal velocity set to 0.100
Can anybody help me to build a primitive particular emitter emitting particles in an aesy way?
Thanks in advance,
Pascal

Whoa! That documentation is OLD...
better have a look here:
http://mediawiki.blender.org/index.php/Manual/PartXIII
This should show you the basics.

PS Please also note this is the Development area for Blender. User questions like this are better suited for one of the Elysiun fora....

My bad....
I'm using a slightly different built of Blender (2.42-preview of Feb 15th).
Should be the same though....
Start blender
Goto Objects tab (or F7)
You see 2 new buttons: Object button and Physics buttons
Press Physics buttons.
Let Particles as is and go to Particle Motion
on the 'Norm' button, put in 0.100 (or something)
Mouse the mouse to your 3D view
Press Alt-A
Voila!!
