Blender at SIGGRAPH 2019

It’s been exactly 20 years ago that Blender was at SIGGRAPH (Los Angeles) for the first time. With a small booth, presenting version 1.60. Still fitting on a floppy disk!

Twenty years later Blender is quite a bit bigger, and not only in megabytes. This is the year we will enjoy more involvement and contributions by the industry. The much anticipated 2.80 release is going to help with that tremendously.

At SIGGRAPH you can find us here:

  1. Blender Birds of a Feather
    Monday 29 July
3:30 PM: Blender Foundation / Community meeting. Ton Roosendaal will present past year’s work and plans for next year.
5:00 PM: Blender & Open Source for production pipelines. Anyone who is interested introducing Blender in the studio is welcome – and ask questions to the experts we invited, including the owners of Tangent Animation, Toronto (the makers of Netflix’ Next Gen).
  2. Trade Show Exibit
    Tuesday 30 July – Thursday 1 August.
Blender Foundation will have a small booth (#710). Showing off 2.80 of course! And some surprises…

Free tickets!

As part of the exhibit package, we get free tickets for the trade show, which is always fun for a half day visit. Free tickets can be registered as follows:
